New Space in Action – Handover of the Optical Communication Station to the UniBw Munich

We handed over the ground base station for the optical communication system of the University of the Bundeswehr Munich – an important milestone in the SeRANIS – Mission project.

The SeRANIS team is developing a multi-mission satellite platform designed to test new communication and navigation technologies directly in orbit. A true New Space laboratory – from laser communication to 6G.

Our base station forms the heart of optical ground communication: It ensures that data between Earth and satellite is transmitted with the highest precision and stability – at the speed of light
