Working Student Software Development (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • Working on the development of our software SCOPE for the automation of Satellite Laser Ranging Stations
  • Support creating detailed technical specifications, system designs and functional and non-functional software requirements
  • Development of new software components for e.g., space debris tracking
  • Development of software solutions starting with the requirements up to the validation/verification in real stations

Your profile

  • You have a deep understanding of the fundamentals of software development – your focus lies on C / C++ und Python and Linux
  • You are comfortable with Git and ideally know cmake and MQTT
  • You are experienced with Qt Framework or hardware-oriented software-development
  • You have a fascination for technology, development and softwaredesign and mathematical affinity
  • You would describe yourself as self-directed and responsible
  • You are familiar with agile software development (Scrum or Kanban e.g.)
  • You are mindful, transparent and empathetic towards your teammates

Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Senior, Full-time

Your tasks

  • Leading role in the design and development of our system software for robotic Satellite Laser Ranging Stations.

  • Implement state of the art processes for end to end software development, from requirements, to development, validation, deployment and maintenance.

  • Implement state of the art processes for software documentation.

  • Collaborate with project managers and the operations team with regards to new features requests, upgrades and debugging.

  • Develop new software solutions in the framework of satellite laser ranging stations.

Your profile

  • Master’s degree or comparable in computer science, information technology or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in software development for complex system, preferable for hardware driven control systems.

  • 3+ years of experience in leading software development and a team of developer.

  • Strong knowledge of C++, Qt Framework and Linux.

  • Fascination for technology, software design and mathematical affinity.

  • Self-directed, responsible and eager to learn.

  • Mindful, transparent and empathetic towards your teammates.

System Engineer (m/f/d)

Senior, Full-time

Your tasks

  • Technical lead of DiGOS space laser ranging developments through all phases, from requirements, concepts, design, performance up to deployment, integration, test and delivery to the customer.

  • Improve our internal system engineering processes.

  • Steer technical R&D.

  • Take a leading role in the improvement of DiGOS laser ranging stations.

  • Collaborate with other project managers, system engineers and the operations team with regards to station design and concepts.

  • Support to, but also lead proposals.

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in an engineering domain.

  • 5+ years of experience as systems engineer for complex HW & SW systems in an industrial environment (non-academic). Development and reproduction experience.

  • Experience in multiple system engineer domains such as requirements, design, performance evaluation, AIV, safety, etc.

  • Industrial level knowledge of mechanical, electronical, thermal and optical principles.

  • Strong analytical as well as practical skills.

  • Team leading as well as team player skills.

  • Creative, open minded, communicative, fair, and forward oriented.
