Political visit & international input

On Wednesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Minister President Dr. Dietmar Woidke and the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Hester Somsen, to GFZ Potsdam.

The focus of the exchange was our work in the field of fiber optic sensing technology – an innovative area with significant potential for cross-border cooperation between Brandenburg and the Netherlands.

We presented our current developments and also shared impulses with decision-makers to decision-makers.

Our goal:

We hope that our impulses will lead to discussions for stronger and long-term cooperation between Brandenburg and the Netherlands to work on common challenges and provide solutions for relevant applications. Our vision is to expand the
nucleus of scientific, commercial, and institutional partners in the domains of fiber optic sensing development and applications.
