When DiGOS was founded as a GeoResearchCenter Potsdam (GFZ) spin-off in 2012, it made perfect sense to set up office within the GFZ facilities. The Einstein Science Park Campus on the Telegrafenberg was the perfect environment to develop DiGOS’ business- excellent geodetic research, close contact with scientists from different disciplines, access to GFZ facilities and a lot of space to grow and expand.
Now, some ten years later, space on the Telegrafenberg has become much more crowded – and DiGOS has evolved into a thriving small business with about twenty employees. Time had come to leave the nest and find a new home.
From March 2022, DiGOS will set up its headquarters in a brand-new office building in Potsdam-Babelsberg, some two kilometres from the Telegrafenberg. On some 360 m², it offers plenty of office space and modern meeting rooms. Situated only 300 metres from the metro stop “Babelsberg” on the Berlin-Potsdam line, it’s easy to reach both for employees and visitors.
To keep the excellent ties to the GFZ, DiGOS will retain some space on the Telegrafenberg. Most notably, the A11 observatory will continue to be available as test-bed for system tests.
